Sofi's Crepes reopens in Fells Point
Sofi's Crepes has reopened in Fells Point under new ownership.
The small eatery with crepe menu items with sweet and savory fillings like cinnamon sugar and "The Godfather" with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, salami, spinach and roasted red peppers reopened Saturday morning.
It had shuttered under previous ownership in early December.
"We revamped the store, but it's the same menu," said Rebecca Jernigan, the new owner who had worked at the Sofi's Crepes in Annapolis for six years. This is Jernigan's first franchise location.
The 1,000-square- foot Fells Point restaurant has seating for 12 inside and seven seats outside. It is located near Broadway at 1627 Thames St.
Sofi's is a franchised business that first opened in 2004 in Station North next to the Charles Theatre by Ann Costlow, a former stockbroker who changed careers to develop a crepe shop. The shops began to franchise five years later.
Since then, Costlow has expanded to seven locations, six in Maryland and one in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
Other locations include Belvedere Square, Annapolis, Owings Mills and Severna Park.
